I’m a writer, literary translator, and book critic. I teach fiction at Writing Workshops Dallas. I’m also the host of the Desi Books podcast. My critically well-received debut story collection, Each of Us Killers, was out in September 2020 and won in the 2020 Foreword INDIES Short Stories category (finalist in the Multicultural Adult Fiction award category.) My debut literary translation, Ratno Dholi: The Best Stories of Dhumketu, was out in October 2020, also critically well-received, and shortlisted for the 2021 PFC-VoW Book Awards for English Translation from Regional Languages. My latest book is a literary translation of the Gujarati short story pioneer, Dhumketu.
